Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the host Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), saw Normal University's basketball squad wallop Lanphier by a tally of 81-51.

The Pioneers (20-7) will now prepare for their test against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones go into the Central State Eight test with a 25-2 record. In their last test, Sacred Heart-Griffin walloped MacArthur (Decatur, IL), 57-51, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 16-12 record. They play next when they host Bloomington for a non-league test on Thursday, February 9. Lanphier will encounter a Purple Raiders squad coming off a 93-84 non-league win over Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 6-20.
