In Tuesday's non-league outing, the St. Thomas Academy Cadets (Mendota Heights, MN) basketball squad beat the visiting Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN), by a count of 72-58.
The Cadets (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against North (North St. Paul, MN). The Polars go into the non-league outing with a 5-13 record. In their last outing, North defeated Hastings (Hastings, MN), 70-59, in a non-league outing.
The Zephyrs now hold a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Hill-Murray for a AAA Section 4 outing on Thursday, February 9. Mahtomedi will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 74-62 non-league loss to Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-16.
