Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host United South Central Rebels (Wells, MN), 61-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Maple River upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton lost 68-45 in their recent non-league bout against Waseca (Waseca, MN)

Next up, the Rebels play the St. Charles Fighting Saints (St. Charles, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. United South Central will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Fighting Saints come into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 58-46 non-league loss to Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN).
