Texas High School Basketball - Slocum ripped by Neches

The Neches Tigers basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Slocum Mustangs to 43 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 22-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Laneville for a 1A Region IV District 27 contest on Friday, February 10. Neches will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 68-55 league loss to Wells (Wells, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 14-8.
The Mustangs (5-24) will now prepare for their contest against Centerville (Groveton, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region IV District 27 contest with a 8-17 record. In their last contest, Centerville triumphed over Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX), 53-47, in a league contest.
