Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pine-Richland ripped by New Castle

The New Castle Hurricanes basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Pine-Richland Rams to 51 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seneca Valley for a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Friday, February 10. New Castle will meet a Raiders team coming off a 70-49 league win over North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 9-11.
The Rams (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Butler, PA). The Golden Tornado enter the WPIAL 6A 1 contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Butler was routed by Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), 65-43, in a league contest.
