New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX), 52-28 in a league bout.

With the win, New Home upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Leopards host Ropes (Ropesville, TX) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, February 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 14-11. Ropes won 76-35 in their recent league bout against Post (Post, TX)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, February 10. Plains will attempt to upgrade on its 24-6 season record. The Roughnecks go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 62-46 league loss to Tahoka (Tahoka, TX).
