The Red River Roughriders basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets to 65 in the Roughriders non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Roughriders now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Fargo for a A East contest on Tuesday, February 7. Red River will battle a Packers team coming off a 58-57 non-league loss to Bemidji (Bemidji, MN). The Packers record now stands at 6-7.
The Rockets (7-18) will now prepare for their contest against Devils Lake/North Dakota School for the Deaf (Devils Lake, ND). The Firebirds enter the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Devils Lake/North Dakota School for the Deaf ran past Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND), 77-75, in a league contest.
