Illinois High School Basketball - St. Thomas More edges Paxton-Buckley-Loda

The St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) basketball nipped the host Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 46-41 in Tuesday's league test.

The Sabers (18-10) will now prepare for their test against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages go into the Illini Prairie test with a 14-11 record. In their last test, Monticello was tipped by Pontiac (Pontiac, IL), 73-61, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 4-22 record. They play next when they travel to Illinois Valley Central for a Illini Prairie test on Friday, February 10. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will encounter a Grey Ghosts squad coming off a 73-45 non-league loss to Macomb (Macomb, IL). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 5-23.
