The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines basketball team (Alamo, TX), was toppled 48-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX)

The Sabercats now possess a 23-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest for a 5A Region IV District 31 battle on Friday, February 10. Vela will confront a Javelinas team coming off a 93-30 league loss to McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 3-24.

The Wolverines (6-18) will now prepare for their battle against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers come into the 5A Region IV District 31 battle with a 10-19 record. In their last battle, Sharyland was toppled by Pioneer (Mission, TX), 49-48, in a league battle.
