The Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX), 49-48 in Tuesday's league test.
The Diamondbacks (21-14) will now prepare for their test against Valley View (Pharr, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 6-23 record. In their last test, Valley View was tipped by McAllen (McAllen, TX), 61-30, in a league test.
The Rattlers now own a 9-19 record. They play next when they host Valley View for a 5A Region IV District 31 test on Friday, February 10. Sharyland will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 61-30 league loss to McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-23.
