Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe edges South Hamilton

The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) basketball nipped the host South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA), 49-47 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs (7-12) will now prepare for their test against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, East Marshall got by GMG (Garwin, IA), 83-76, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Kuemper for a non-league test on Thursday, February 9. South Hamilton will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 73-34 league win over Shenandoah (Shenandoah, IA). The Knights record now stands at 13-5.
