Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX), 54-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Seymour upgrades its record to 20-8 on the season. The Panthers host Olney (Olney, TX) to play the Cubs in a 2A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, February 10. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 7-25. Olney lost 50-35 in their recent league bout against Nocona (Nocona, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX) in a 2A Region II District 9 bout, on Friday, February 10. Windthorst will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 16-12 record after their 42-33 league win over Petrolia (Petrolia, TX).
