Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR), 37-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Willamette upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Wolverines host Roseburg (Roseburg, OR) to play the Indians in a 6A Southwest bout on Friday, February 10. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Roseburg lost 111-80 in their recent league bout against South Medford (Medford, OR)

Next up, the Irish play the North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest bout, on Friday, February 10. Sheldon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Black Tornado go into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 67-47 league loss to Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR).
