Southside Christian Warriors (Clayton, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wilson Christian Academy Chargers (Wilson, NC), 50-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southside Christian upgrades its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC) to play the Heat in a NCCSA AA East Region 4 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Heat come into the bout with a record of 15-4. Liberty Christian Academy won 53-40 in their recent league bout against Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the Bethel Christian Academy Trojans (Kinston, NC) in a NCCSA AA East Region 4 bout, on Thursday, February 9. Wilson Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 9-17 record after their 53-40 league loss to Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC).
