The Tyler Lions basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Texas Tigers to 59 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Longview for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, February 10. Tyler will battle a Lobos team coming off a 56-45 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 23-6.
The Tigers (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bobcats go into the 5A Region II District 15 bout with a 19-12 record. In their last bout, Hallsville was knocked off by Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX), 52-51, in a league bout.
