The St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) basketball knocked off the host Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), 46-29 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Sartans (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 0-13 record. In their last test, Valencia went down by Grants (Grants, NM), 33-27, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. Grants will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 60-41 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 3-11.
