Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) and the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), saw Pierce County's basketball squad wallop Appling County by a count of 64-31.

With the victory, Pierce County upgrades its record to 11-12 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Toombs County (Lyons, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a AA Region 3 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-19. Toombs County won 30-28 in their recent league challenge against Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Appling County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 52-43 league loss to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA).
