In Tuesday's league outing, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), by a margin of 59-44.
The Huskies (16-6) will now prepare for their outing against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the 3A/4A Conference 52 outing with a 17-6 record. In their last outing, Watauga thwarted Freedom (Morganton, NC), 59-46, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 10-13 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a 3A/4A Conference 52 outing on Friday, February 10. South Caldwell will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 47-45 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 20-3.
