The Astoria Fishermen basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Scappoose Indians to 44 in the Fishermen league victory on Tuesday.
The Fishermen now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tillamook for a 4A Cowapa contest on Friday, February 10. Astoria will battle a Cheesemakers team coming off a 63-29 league loss to Scappoose (Scappoose, OR). The Cheesemakers record now stands at 1-14.
The Indians (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions come into the 4A Cowapa contest with a 5-16 record. In their last bout, St. Helens was knocked off by Seaside (Seaside, OR), 49-44, in a league bout.
