Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC), 47-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Bartlett Yancey upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Eno River (Hillsborough, NC) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 12-10. Eno River won 1-0 in their recent league bout against Henderson Collegiate (Henderson, NC)

Next up, the Bears clash with the North Moore Mustangs (Robbins, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 14 bout, on Friday, February 10. Chatham Central will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 38-25 league loss to Cummings (Burlington, NC).
