Claude Mustangs (Claude, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Silverton Owls (Silverton, TX), 42-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Claude upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, February 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-12. Fort Elliott lost 49-17 in their recent league bout against Follett (Follett, TX)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Miami Warriors (Miami, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Silverton will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 19-8 record after their 73-25 league win over Lefors (Lefors, TX).
