Coalfield Yellow Jackets (Coalfield, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Oliver Springs Bobcats (Oliver Springs, TN), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Coalfield upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Oakdale (Oakdale, TN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-15. Oakdale lost 40-36 in their recent league bout against Rockwood (Rockwood, TN)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Oneida Indians (Oneida, TN) in a 1A District 3 bout, on Friday, February 10. Oliver Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 66-37 league win over Sunbright (Sunbright, TN).
