The Lake Arthur Tigers basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host DeQuincy Tigers to 24 in the Tigers league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vinton for a 2A District 5 contest on Friday, February 10. Lake Arthur will battle a Lions team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Lions record now stands at 2-20.
The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA). The Hornets come into the 2A District 5 contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Grand Lake triumphed over Vinton (Vinton, LA), 62-32, in a league contest.
