North Carolina High School Basketball - East Columbus crushes South Columbus

February 7, 2023: Tabor City, NC 28463

East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC), 71-23 in a league bout.

With the win, East Columbus upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Gators travel to West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to play the Vikings in a 1A/2A Conference 5 bout on Friday, February 10. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-18. West Columbus lost 52-14 in their recent league bout against Pender (Burgaw, NC)

Next up, the Stallions play the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 5 bout, on Friday, February 10. South Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 66-22 league win over Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC).
