North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wake Academy tops Research Triangle

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) and the host Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC), saw East Wake Academy's basketball squad knock off Research Triangle by a count of 44-32.
With the victory, East Wake Academy upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC) to confront the Firebirds in a 1A/2A Conference 12 battle on Friday, February 10. The Firebirds come into the battle with a record of 24-0. Falls Lake won 64-27 in their recent league battle against Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC)
The Raptors (1-20) will now prepare for their battle against NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC). The Unicorns come into the 1A/2A Conference 12 battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, NCSSM: Durham beat Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC), 47-21, in a league battle.
