Spring Lake Park Panthers (Spring Lake Park, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), 69-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spring Lake Park upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to Centennial (Circle Pines, MN) to play the Cougars in a AAAA Section 7 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-9. Centennial lost 54-49 in their recent league bout against Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN)

Next up, the Elks play the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons (Plymouth, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Elk River will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 73-62 non-league win over Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN).
