Minneapolis Lions (Minneapolis, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ellsworth Bearcats (Ellsworth, KS), 38-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Minneapolis upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 15-2. Southeast of Saline won 52-35 in their recent non-league bout against Beloit (Beloit, KS)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Beloit Trojans (Beloit, KS) in a North Central AA bout, on Thursday, February 9. Ellsworth will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 52-35 non-league loss to Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS).
