The Fair Lawn Cutters (Fair Lawn, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ), 48-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cutters (11-9) will now prepare for their test against West Milford (West Milford, NJ). The Highlanders go into the Big North - Independence test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, West Milford went down by Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ), 39-17, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeland Regional for a Northwest Jersey - Independence test on Thursday, February 9. Passaic Valley will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 36-35 non-league loss to Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 9-8.
