Virginia High School Basketball - Giles overwhelmed by Fort Chiswell

The Giles Spartans basketball team (Pearisburg, VA), was overwhelmed 66-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA)

The Pioneers now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Wythe for a Mountain Empire battle on Thursday, February 9. Fort Chiswell will confront a Maroons team coming off a 53-24 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 15-5.

The Spartans (1-21) will now prepare for their battle against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils come into the Mountain Empire battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Grayson County was overwhelmed by George Wythe (Wytheville, VA), 53-24, in a league battle.
