The Newport Tigers basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats to 22 in the Tigers league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinsdale for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 8. Newport will battle a Pacers team coming off a 40-31 non-league loss to Mascenic Regional (New Ipswich, NH). The Pacers record now stands at 4-1.
