The Middle Early College/Research Lab Kats basketball team (Buffalo, NY), was overwhelmed 50-15 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers (Buffalo, NY)

The Engineers now possess a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to City Honors for a Section 6 Buffalo I battle on Thursday, February 9. Hutchinson-Central Tech will confront a Centaurs team coming off a 49-30 league win over McKinley (Buffalo, NY). The Centaurs record now stands at 13-4.

The Kats (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Olmsted (Buffalo, NY). The Owls come into the Section 6 Buffalo I battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Olmsted trounced Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts (Buffalo, NY), 51-5, in a league battle.
