South Dakota High School Basketball - Jones County crushes Philip

February 7, 2023: Murdo, SD 57559

Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Philip Scotties (Philip, SD), 53-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Jones County upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Howard (Howard, SD) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Howard won 60-41 in their recent non-league bout against Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD)

Next up, the Scotties play the Lyman Raiders (Presho, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Philip will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 49-45 non-league loss to Gregory (Gregory, SD).
