The Wayne Hills Patriots (Wayne, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ), 36-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Patriots (18-2) will now prepare for their test against Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Wayne Valley got by West Milford (West Milford, NJ), 39-17, in a league test.
The Lancers now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Passaic Valley for a Northwest Jersey - Independence test on Thursday, February 9. Lakeland Regional will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 48-39 non-league loss to Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 6-11.
