The Lakeland Thunderbirds basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Tomahawk Hatchets to 31 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rhinelander for a Great Northern match on Friday, February 10. Lakeland will meet a Hodags team coming off a 63-52 league win over Medford (Medford, WI). The Hodags record now stands at 8-13.

With the defeat, Tomahawk moves to 4-15 on the year. The Hatchets host Antigo (Antigo, WI) to meet the Red Robins in a Great Northern match on Friday, February 10. The Red Robins enter the match with a record of 10-11. Antigo lost 58-55 in their recent non-league match against Three Lakes (Three Lakes, WI)
