In Tuesday's league match, the host Lakewood Leopards basketball team scored a good 62-51 triumph over the Neuse Charter Cougars.
In their next game, the Leopards meet the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 10 match, on Thursday, February 9. Lakewood will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 2-18 record after their 60-36 league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC).

The Spartans enter the match with a record of 11-8. Union won 3-1 in their recent league match against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC)
