In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs basketball team scored a decisive 62-25 triumph over the South St. Paul Packers.
In their next game, the Zephyrs meet the Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN) in a AAA Section 4 match, on Thursday, February 9. Mahtomedi will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 10-10 record after their 60-24 non-league win over Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN).
With the defeat, South St. Paul moves to 5-15 on the year. The Packers host Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN) to meet the Spartans in a AAA Section 3 match on Thursday, February 9. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 3-19. Simley lost 49-42 in their recent non-league match against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)
