In Tuesday's league outing, the Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) basketball squad nipped the host Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA), by a margin of 24-19.
The Tigers (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against Sterlington (Sterlington, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 14-4 record. In their last outing, Sterlington held off Bastrop (Bastrop, LA), 52-38, in a league bout.
Next up, the Indians play the Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, February 10. Tioga will attempt to upgrade on its 12-14 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 45-23 league loss to Peabody (Alexandria, LA).
