The Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT), 46-43 in Tuesday's league test.
The Clippers (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Eastern Connecticut - 4 test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Lyman Memorial got by Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT), 56-29, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Old Lyme for a non-league test on Thursday, February 16.
