North Carolina High School Basketball - Riverside-Martin holds off Washington County

February 7, 2023: Plymouth, NC 27962

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) and the host Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC), saw Riverside-Martin's basketball squad hold off Washington County by a tally of 44-38.

With the victory, Riverside-Martin improves its record to 3-15 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to confront the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Pamlico County won 45-40 in their recent league challenge against Jones (Trenton, NC)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Washington County will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 70-19 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
