Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) and the host Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI), saw Sault Area's basketball squad knock off Traverse City Central by a count of 49-37.
The Blue Devils now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cheboygan for a Straits Area battle on Thursday, February 9. Sault Area will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 50-11 non-league loss to Petoskey (Petoskey, MI). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-13.
The Trojans (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cadillac (Cadillac, MI). The Vikings come into the Big North battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Cadillac beat Kingsley (Kingsley, MI), 40-34, in a non-league battle.
