Taylor Ducks (Taylor, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX), 61-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Taylor upgrades its record to 15-18 on the season.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Austin Achieve Polar Bears (Austin, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Smithville will attempt to upgrade on its 15-16 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 70-15 league loss to La Grange (La Grange, TX).
