Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA), 49-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Weed upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Cougars host Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to play the Bears in a Shasta Cascade bout on Friday, February 10. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Mt. Shasta won 41-29 in their recent league bout against Modoc (Alturas, CA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Etna Lions (Etna, CA) in a Shasta Cascade bout, on Friday, February 10. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 58-37 league loss to Fall River (McArthur, CA).
