Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eldorado upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Farmington (Farmington, NM) to play the Scorpions in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Scorpions go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Farmington won 48-19 in their recent non-league bout against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Matadors play the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Sandia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 29-19 league win over Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
