North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County winner over South Caldwell

The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) basketball felled the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 54-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Huskies (8-12) will now prepare for their test against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Watauga was beaten by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 54-50, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. South Caldwell will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 46-31 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 9-8.
