The Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) basketball felled the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 53-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Comets (17-6) will now prepare for their test against South Garner (Garner, NC). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 21-0 record. In their last test, South Garner thwarted Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 59-47, in a non-league test.
The Storm now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Cleveland for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. Willow Spring will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 57-38 non-league win over Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Rams record now stands at 13-6.
