Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM), 53-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cobre upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Indians host Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Hatch Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
