Virginia High School Basketball - Gretna tops Nelson County

Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 51-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gretna upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Appomattox County won 39-36 in their recent non-league bout against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA)

Next up, the Governors play the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 39-31 non-league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).
