The Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball knocked off the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 69-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Vikings (16-2) will now prepare for their test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, New Hanover notched a victory over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC), 41-25, in a non-league test.

The Buccaneers now own a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Topsail for a non-league test on Thursday, February 9. Laney will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 28-21 non-league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 7-13.
