The Lakewood Cougars basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Bellingham Bayhawks to 49 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lynden for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Lakewood will battle a Lions team coming off a 81-65 non-league win over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA). The Lions record now stands at 17-4.

The Bayhawks (11-10) will now prepare for their contest against Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Burlington-Edison was routed by Lynden (Lynden, WA), 81-65, in a non-league contest.
