Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL), 58-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 15-10 on the campaign. The J-Hawks host Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL) to play the Knights in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Friday, February 9. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 17-10. Rockford Auburn won 80-51 in their recent league bout against Harlem (Machesney Park, IL)

Next up, the Bucs play the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 bout, on Friday, February 9. Belvidere will attempt to upgrade on its 5-24 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 63-54 league win over Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL).
